The word “cobra” is enough to instil fear in even the bravest of souls. For good reason to, as these snakes are of the most venomous in the world! Members of the Elapidae family, cobras are characterised by their proteroglyphous fangs and “hoods”, which they form by expanding their ribs. Countless people are terrified of the rising, hooded pose cobra’s make before striking. 
While there are a variety of cobra species, Spitting Cobras and King Cobras are of the most well-known. The former for their ability to blind their victims by spraying venom into their eyes, and the latter for their size which can reach up to 18 feet in length. 

This coin is the third release in the Magnificent Life collection and uses smartminting technology to capture this highly venomous creature in its iconic pose.
